Faster Than Light (FTL) is a work of performance activism created in collaboration with the LGBTQAI++ community in Athens, Greece.

The work began development within the context of the European Media Art Platform in 2018, when Kumanomido and teaque owen (b. 1989, Kirchheimbolanden) were invited to conduct a two-month residency at Stegi Onassis in Athens, GR.

In September 2018, amid the project's ongoing production, Zak Kostopoulos (b. 1983, Newark), who appears in documention of FTL as the drag activist Zackie Oh!, was brutally beaten to death in downtown Athens. Footage of their murder was recorded by multiple witnessess and broadcast widely over Greek news media. FTL deals with the aftershock of Zak's murder and the impact of this event on the queer community in Athens.

FTL is currently in development for exhibition at the 2021 Werkleitz Festival in Halle, Germany.
